UNFORTUNATELY THE RACE WILL NOT BE HELD IN 2021. DATE TO BE CONFIRMED FOR 2022.

Perspective Personal Solutions owners Camille O’Connor and her husband (former Black Cap cricketer) Shayne will be organising the Event.  Also assisting with the event organisation is Camille’s father Neville who has managed several multisport events in the past including the Goldrush Multisport Race. 


Our focus for the McArthur Ridge Run the Ridge is to provide something that is fun, a challenge for all levels and provides a platform for you to achieve a personal goal surrounded by a supportive, encouraging and festival like atmosphere.

We are fortunate once again to have the support of McArthur Ridge as well as neighbouring Mt Dunstan vineyards to create a challenging event for everyone and this year some of the proceeds raised from the event will go back into our community as we support local groups and charities.


This year we will be posting all race information and all you need to know about the event in this section of our website and will be updated regularly.


We will also be using The Central App – we recommend you download this App for FREE on your phone as we will be having a complete section on this app dedicated to our event where you can check out the weather conditions, competitor information, our wonderful sponsors, vendors who will be there on the day and much more.

Race Description
 

The focus for the McArthur Ridge Run the Ridge is about creating an opportunity for all individuals to achieve success yet be personally challenged along the way be it striving to complete a 5km, 10km (walk/run) ,21km run or as part of the 20km Team relay. It is an event that enables anyone to have a go and in the process work towards a healthier and fitter you.

 

This event will see you run or walk through some spectacular Central Otago scenery – the openness will astound you even if you are a local and the wine and craft beer tasting at the end will make it all worthwhile.

 

While we will be having some prizes to celebrate those who place in the event, most of our prizes will be spot prizes – and boy do we have some good ones thanks to all our sponsors who have supported this event.

 

We are also about supporting and giving back to our community so this year, along with McArthur Ridge, we have decided that some of the proceeds from the event will go back to local groups and charities.

 

If this event encourages you to get off the couch, get up and get moving, or provides you with an opportunity to achieve a personal best in a 21km run – then we believe we have been successful!

Course Description
 

The McArthur Ridge Run the Ridge 21,10 and 5 km distances will lead you on gravel roads, along vineyard headlands (Grass) and through the vineyard rows.

There will be some small uphill and downhill parts in all three distances that will get the heart rate slightly elevated. You will be running through and past some spectacular scenery. The 20km Teams relay complete 4 x 5km lap.
